Hello!
I’m Elena
I’m an Italian student living in the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, and I made this blog because I really wish someone had handed me a “survival guide” before I moved here.

When I first moved here, I quickly figured out two things:
- Switzerland is insanely beautiful.
- Everything is expensive
But after a few months of trial and error, I started finding my rhythm, little routines and small hacks that make a big difference. Things like:
- how much you’re actually paying when you eat out and what it costs to make the same thing at home
- what’s actually worth paying for (and what really isn’t)
- the transport hacks that actually save you money

More about me
As a true Italian, I love good food. I learned to cook at home with my mom and nonna, and those recipes are still my go-to.

In addition, baking is my therapy, so the moment uni stress hits, my kitchen basically turns into a bakery.

When the sun is out, I’m also the kind of person who has to go outside, even if it’s just a walk, because a bit of fresh air always lifts my mood.. And if there’s a hike with a nice viewpoint? Even better.
Oh, and one last thing… I find cows ridiculously cute. If I see one, I instantly get the urge to cuddle it.

You know me a little better now, want to keep in touch?
